The Long Beach Resource Line, the City’s pandemic-era community resource phone service, recently concluded operations, but residents still have plenty of ways to connect with the services they need.

The Resource Line, launched in 2020 to connect residents to housing, food, health care and other essential health and social services, officially concluded operations on Sept. 30. Over its duration, the program supported more than 10,000 calls and made thousands of connections to critical resources.

With the hotline now closed, the lines to community resources remain wide open with other tools available for those seeking assistance:

  • 2-1-1 LA, a nonprofit service operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides free and confidential guidance to health, social and community services across Los Angeles County. Residents can call 2-1-1 or visit 211la.org to connected with a Community Resource Advisor.
  • Unite Us Resource Referral Map is a centralized online directory that allows users to search for and connect with local resources in Long Beach, ranging from housing and food to health and social services.

The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services also continues to serve as a hub for information. Residents can visit longbeach.gov/health, call 562-570-4000 or follow @LBHealthDept on Facebook, X, and Instagram for updates on programs and services.
