Community members interested in running for local office are invited to attend a Candidate Workshop hosted by the City of Long Beach Office of the City Clerk on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. The workshop will be held both in person at Long Beach City Hall (411 W. Ocean Blvd.) and online via Zoom.

Nomination packets will be available after the workshop for those ready to get started. The Candidate Handbook will be available at the end of the workshop and can also be found on the City Clerk’s webpage.
The Office of the City Clerk aims to make local elections clear, fair and accessible. This workshop is designed to help prospective candidates better understand the process and feel prepared to take the next step in civic leadership.
