As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible and equitable housing policies for its residents, the City of Long Beach Community Development Department will be hosting an informational open house on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bixby Park Community Center.

At the event, community members will learn about many topics, including the Enhanced Density Bonus (EDB) Ordinance, which provides incentives for housing developers to allocate on-site affordable housing units in their projects. With feedback collected from the Open House, an updated draft of the ordinance will be proposed to the Planning Committee and City Council.

This event also serves as the fourth Housing and Homelessness Opportunities, Mobilization and Engagement (HOME) Community Roadshow, which provides a space for residents to voice their concerns surrounding homelessness and housing within Long Beach. Some of the projects that will be discussed include:

Community members who want to attend are highly encouraged to pre-register at lbcd.info/planningforhousing.
