Pet of the Week: Ready for Doggone Good Time at the Beach

If you’re looking for a four-legged friend who’s ready for a doggone good day at the beach, Cania may be your girl. This sweet 3-year-old Dogo Argentino is currently looking for her forever home through Long Beach Animal Care Services.
Cania is a 74-pound bundle of squishy-faced sweetness who quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite after arriving at the shelter. With her big smile, nonstop wagging tail and earnest belief that every person she meets is a friend, it’s not hard to see why.
Cania is a people-seeking pup who loves getting out and about with her human friends. You’ll often spot her enjoying walks with different volunteers throughout the day—mostly because she’s just too sweet to resist. She’s also eager to play with dogs her size.
She is what we call a good medium energy dog, as she can walk long distances, but also would not mind being a couch potato, especially if that means extra cuddles and treats. This is one dog who has mastered the art of having a good time.
