If you're looking for a fun-loving furry friend, Long Beach Animal Care Services has just the dog for you. This week's Pet of the Week is Buttons, a young pup with a playful personality and affectionate nature.
At just 1 year old, Buttons is a brindle-and-white American Pit Bull Terrier mix with bright, expressive eyes and an infectious grin that's hard to resist. Her happy face, wagging tail and eager-to-please attitude make it clear she's ready for her next adventure.
Buttons was found as a stray in December, but after spending time with her finder, she was described as friendly, sweet and full of personality. While she was understandably a little nervous when she first arrived at the shelter, it didn't take long for her true colors to shine. She's affectionate, adaptable and loves making new friends.
This energetic girl enjoys the company of other active dogs and would do well in a home with a playful canine companion or an adopter who can keep up with her exercise and enrichment needs. Whether it's a long walk, a game of fetch or learning new tricks, Buttons is happiest when she's staying active.
