From sailboats to street fairs, this weekend in Long Beach brings a little bit of everything. The internationally recognized Congressional Cup Regatta takes center stage offshore, while on land you’ll find live music, cultural celebrations and waterfront walks.

Here’s what’s happening through Cinco de Mayo (Tuesday):

Congressional Cup Regatta

Date: Wednesday-Sunday, April 29-May 3

What to Expect: Watch world-class sailors go head-to-head in this elite match racing competition, all vying for the iconic Crimson Blazer.

St. Joseph Parish Fair

Time: 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. Sunday

What to Expect: Families can enjoy a classic community fair with rides, games, live music, food and a festive atmosphere all weekend long.

First Fridays Bixby Knolls: Arte de Mayo

Date: Friday, May 1

Time: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Location: 4301 Atlantic Ave.

What to Expect: Shop and dine while enjoying live music and art at this monthly event in Bixby Knolls.

Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids

Date: Saturday, May 2

Time: 7 a.m. registration, 7:30 a.m. walk

Location: 200 Aquarium Way

What to Expect: Walk or run in this coastal 5K supporting families with children receiving medical care.

Cost: $35 for adults, free for children, additional donations encouraged

Assistance League Car Show & Fair

Date: Saturday, May 2

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: 6220 E. Spring St.

What to Expect: Check out more than 50 classic and custom cars while enjoying music, food trucks and family-friendly entertainment benefitting the nonprofit Assistance League of Long Beach.
