Job seekers now have an easier way to learn about career opportunities with the City of Long Beach.
The City recently unveiled a redesigned Jobs website, offering a more intuitive, mobile-friendly experience for those looking to join the City’s workforce.
The updated site consolidates job listings, benefit details and other information from the recently merged Civil Service and Human Resources departments, streamlining access to hundreds of opportunities. The City employs more than 6,100 full- and part-time staff across 23 departments, with roughly 500 diverse job opportunities and range of career paths.
Designed for all applicants, the accessible website welcomes everyone—from students seeking their first jobs to seasoned professionals planning their next chapter. Visitors can easily explore careers that match their skills and interests.
Soon, the site will also highlight the City’s local and inclusive hiring practices, giving preference to residents, local graduates, internal candidates, veterans and other community-connected candidates. It’s a move not just about filling positions, but also fostering a culture of opportunity and building a workforce that truly reflects Long Beach.
From exploring careers to navigating the inclusive recruitment process, the redesigned Jobs website makes navigating careers smooth for everyone.
