El Dorado Park West and El Dorado East Regional Park just received a makeover, enhancing the park experience for the community.
The treasured parks are shining following extensive renovations aimed at modernizing the space, improving accessibility and enhancing the experience for athletes, families and everyday parkgoers.
At El Dorado Park West (2800 N. Studebaker Road) the sports fields are the focal point of the modernization. The extensively upgraded ballfields now have new fencing, netting, backboards, screening, seating, dugout benches, upgraded electrical equipment, laser-graded infields, and more, enhancing the experience for players and spectators.

Outside the ballfields, the El Dorado Park West project included accessibility improvements. Restroom stalls were upgraded to include gender-neutral, individually accessible units, and ADA-compliant parking spaces were added. Repaved walkways offer smoother access throughout the park, and three traditional water fountains were replaced with modern hydration stations.
Over at El Dorado East Regional Park (7550 E. Spring St.), roadways and parking lots are now resurfaced and restriped for a safer, smoother drive. Visitors will also notice new directional signage to improve navigation. And, upgrades to the entry system are still underway.
The projects, part of the City’s Elevate ‘28 initiative, reflect Long Beach’s commitment to providing welcoming and community-centered recreational opportunities for people to come together and be active and engaged.
