700+ Opportunities for Fun This Fall in Long Beach – Registration for Fall Recreation Classes Has Begun
While the summer season is coming to a close, the fun is guaranteed to continue this fall in Long Beach. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is rolling out a lineup of more than 700 activities and sports for residents of all ages.
Below are just a few of the exciting classes being offered to the community starting this September:

Preschool | Mini Musical Theatre | Little ones will have the opportunity to learn hit Broadway songs and perform adorable, choregraphed pieces (ages two years, seven months to five years). |
Youth | Karate, Shotokan | Children will learn courtesies of Japanese culture and the skills of this karate style while gaining valuable confidence (ages five to 13). |
Teens | Strength, Sweat and Stretch | This new class offering will combine resistance training, cardio and yoga elements to provide a unique full-body workout (ages 16 and up). |
Adults | Dog Behavior Training 101 – Positive Reinforcement | Adults will receive training on basic commands and key canine behaviors to help being out the best manners in their furry friends. |
Older Adults | Spanish for Seniors | Older adults will be ready to interact in a new language through learning basic conversational skills at a comfortable pace and engaging in educational activities (ages 50 and up). |

- In-Person at the Registration Reservations Office (2760 Studebaker Rd.) open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
