Don’t Let Superstition Scare You Away From This Purr-fect Halloween Cat

There’s nothing unlucky about Yuba—she’s just a sweet black cat ready to find her forever home.
Yuba (A766224) is a 3-year-old, 8.7-pound Persian mix who has been waiting for adoption at Long Beach Animal Care Services since late August. With her fluffy black coat, bright golden-green eyes, adorable squished face and snowy white chest and paws, she cuts a striking figure.
Yuba loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it. Her signature squeaky meow lets volunteers know when she’s ready for some affection, and she happily rewards pets and treats with contented purrs.
As for those black-cat superstitions? They’re nothing but a bunch of hocus-pocus. Black cats are sometimes overlooked by potential adopters, particularly around Halloween, but their dark coats don’t make them any less deserving of loving homes.
The best kind of Halloween magic is finding a furry friend who makes the season brighter.
