Long Beach Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of its Motorsports Walk of Fame

The City’s 2026 Motorsports Walk of Fame will induct decorated driver Alexander Rossi and late Long Beach Mayor Robert “Bob” Foster for the 20 anniversary of the event during a public ceremony that will take place Thursday, April 16.

Created in 2006, the Motorsports Walk of Fame is a collaboration between the City of Long Beach and the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach honoring people who have made meaningful contributions to the Long Beach’s racing history.

This year, two-time Long Beach Grand Prix winner Alexander Rossi will be recognized for his diverse racing resume which includes starts in Formula 1 and the Renault Sports Series and winning the Indianapolis 500 Former. Mayor Bob Foster’s impact on the Long Beach racing community during his time in office will also be celebrated through this esteemed award.

The public ceremony will take place in front of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center on South Pine Avenue on April 16 at 11 a.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony and watch the unveiling of the commemorative bronze medallions.
