New Westside Night Market Launches in Long Beach

Long Beach is getting a new monthly night market offering local street food, handmade goods and live music. The Westside Night Market started on Sept. 18 and will be held on the third Friday of every month in September, October and November from 5 to 8 p.m. at Admiral Kidd Park (2125 Santa Fe Ave.).
As part of the Westside Promise, a 10-year community investment plan for the Westside of Long Beach, this Night Market is a way to promote community partnerships, support local businesses and have some fun.
Each market will have a diverse lineup of food vendors, including Glizzy Street, operated by teenage twins Chaze and Chazz Clemons—social media sensations who were featured on NBC’s “Today” show for their bacon‑wrapped hot dogs—alongside the celebrated West Long Beach restaurant Black Pork and Pepe’s Red Tacos, known for its birria. The Night Market will also feature an indie marketplace of local makers.
A limited number of food and product giveaways will be available to attendees.
Live music is also on the schedule. Attendees can expect a musical performance from Mariachi Alma Juvenil, a youth dance group from Cal State Long Beach’s Grupo Folklorico Mexica de CSULB; and a cabaret show and free theater class from Jewel Box Children’s Theater Company.
