Whether you're dreaming up a kitchen remodel, planning an ADU or just looking for fresh ideas to upgrade your space, the City of Long Beach’s Home Improvement Expo is back to help bring those plans to life.

Returning for its second year, this free, family-friendly event invites residents, designers, contractors and home improvement enthusiasts to come together for a day of inspiration, practical advice and hands-on learning. Hosted by the City’s Community Development Department in celebration of National Home Improvement Month, the Expo is designed to connect the community with the tools and expertise needed to tackle projects big and small.

The Home Improvement Expo will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Whaley Park. Attendees can explore a wide range of topics—from remodeling and construction to flooring, cabinetry, windows and smart home technology. Whether you're just getting started or deep into planning, there will be something for every stage of the process.

Dozens of local professionals will be on-site to share tips, answer questions and help demystify the home improvement journey. City staff from Building and Safety, Planning and Code Enforcement will also be available to guide residents through permitting, regulations and neighborhood enhancements like street trees.

Beyond the booths and resources, the Expo brings a fun, community vibe with giveaways and activities for kids to explore.

Local professionals in home design, construction and related services are also invited to take part as exhibitors. Those interested can submit an interest form by Friday, May 1, though space is limited.
