Stay Healthy This Spooky Season: Long Beach Offers Free Flu Vaccination Clinics
Scare the flu away this Halloween by getting your flu vaccine at Long Beach’s free upcoming vaccination clinics.
The respiratory virus season typically runs from mid-fall to mid-spring, making October the ideal time to get the flu vaccine. Stop by one of the City’s free vaccination events this month to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community from the flu season.
The City’s largest flu vaccination clinic of the season, “Say Boo 2 Flu”, will take place from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Main Health Facility (2525 Grand Ave). The event will offer drive-through vaccinations, where people six months and older can receive a flu shot without leaving their vehicles. Accommodations will be provided upon request for people with access and functional needs and those planning to arrive by public transportation. No appointments are necessary and attendees are encouraged to come in costume to get in the Halloween spirit.
The following free flu vaccines clinics will also be available in October:
