Get ready for some high-speed action as Formula DRIFT returns to Long Beach Oct. 23 and 24 for the Shoreline Showdown, where drivers will battle it out for the 2026 championship title. The event brings the excitement of professional drifting to the streets of Long Beach, giving fans a front-row seat to some of the best drifters from around the world. To accommodate the event, portions of Shoreline Drive will be closed to traffic—so residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead.
Formula DRIFT Road Closures:
- Shoreline Drive will be closed between Ocean Boulevard and Shoreline Village Drive from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24.
- Shoreline Village Drive will remain open at all times to maintain access to Shoreline Village.
- Boat owners can also access the area via Shoreline Village Drive throughout the event.
With championship stakes, skilled drivers and an exciting atmosphere near the waterfront, the Shoreline Showdown is set to bring plenty of energy to downtown Long Beach—and with a little extra time and planning, drivers traveling near the event will have no problems getting to where they need to go.
