Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is bringing back Winter Fun Days, a free recreation program offering kids ages 5 to 12 a safe, active and creative place to spend their afternoons during the holidays. From arts and crafts to games, sports and festive activities, Winter Fun Days gives local youth a chance to make friends and have fun while school is out.

The program will run over two weeks: Monday, Dec. 22 through Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 (closed Thursday, Dec. 25), and Monday, Dec. 29 through Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 (closed Thursday, Jan. 1). PRM staff will be on-site at 19 park locations across the city from noon to 5 p.m. each day, leading a variety of supervised activities. During the program, participants are welcome to come and go throughout the afternoon.

Pre-registration is required and opens Monday, Dec. 8 at participating park sites between noon and 5 p.m. Families can find full program details including park phone numbers and the complete list of locations on the Winter Fun Days webpage.
