Long Beach’s Economic Development and Opportunity to Host Open House
Long Beach is an economic engine, and the community is invited to come look under the hood at a special event hosted by the Department of Economic Development & Opportunity, or simply EDO.
The free event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at the Long Beach Workforce Innovation Network—better known as LBWIN—inside the Adult Career Services Center at 4811 Airport Plaza Drive.
Guests can look forward to networking with City staff, community partners and local entrepreneurs while learning about resources that can help their careers or businesses shift into high gear. The open house will also celebrate the official renaming of EDO, formerly the Economic Development Department, as well as its renewed mission, following the department’s recent rebranding.
Whether you’re looking to rev up your business, steer toward a new career or just stay in the loop, this open house is designed to drive community connections forward.
Opportunity’s knocking, so mark your calendars, bring your business cards and RSVP today.
