Reel in the Fun at the Annual Youth Fishing Derby

Grab your fishing poles and get ready for a day of fishing fun. Join us on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m for the annual Youth Fishing Derby at El Dorado East Regional Park.
Participants ages 17 and under will have the chance learn fishing techniques from experts, win prizes like fishing gear and experience the thrill of the catch. This free event is a great opportunity to build self-confidence, experience the outdoors and enjoy some friendly competition.
Fishing poles and tackle will be provided; participants are also welcome to bring their own. Onsite registration begins at 8 a.m. and a raffle will start at 1 p.m. Anyone over the age of 16 is required to have a valid California State Fishing License. Parking is free for this event.
The Youth Fishing Derby is hosted in partnership with Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation and California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
