Summer in Long Beach just got a lot more fun. The City’s highly popular inflatable Wibit aquatics playgrounds have returned to Alamitos Beach and Bay Shore Avenue, bringing locals and visitors daily access to free, exciting water play right on Long Beach's beautiful waterfront.
Open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. now through Labor Day, Sept. 1, each Wibit offers a unique setup of engaging activities. Located south of Ocean Boulevard and east of Shoreline Drive, the Alamitos Beach Wibit features floating springboards, bouncers, monkey bars and other water play structures. The Bay Shore Avenue Wibit, located at 5415 E. Ocean Blvd., also features multiple climbing elements, bouncers and domes.

Before jumping in to enjoy these delightful playgrounds with family and friends, beach goers should be aware that aquatic recreation can be a dangerous activity and that safety should always be top of mind.
All participants must pass a swim test before using the structures and children under the age of nine must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, personal flotation devices are not permitted when enjoying water play features. The City assumes no liability or responsibility for injuries sustained while using the structures and lifeguards are not guaranteed to be on duty if they are called to an emergency.
The Wibit aquatics playgrounds are more than places for summer fun with loved ones—they are another example of how Long Beach invests in accessible recreation and promotes community connection and wellness.
