The City of Long Beach is gearing up to host the 43rd Annual Long Beach Pride Parade on Sunday, May 17 at 10 a.m. For the third consecutive year, the City will serve as the official host of the beloved celebration honoring the LGBTQ+ community.

Each year, the parade brings thousands of residents and visitors together for a vibrant display of color, creativity and community spirit. From dazzling floats and marching groups to music and performances, the event transforms Downtown Long Beach into a lively celebration of pride, visibility and inclusion.

The parade will begin at Ocean Boulevard and Lindero Avenue and travel along Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue through the heart of Downtown. More details about this year’s parade — including grand marshals and special highlights — will be announced in the coming weeks.

Businesses, nonprofits and community organizations interested in joining the celebration can now apply to participate in the parade with a float, vehicle or walking group. Applications are open through Monday, May 4, 2026, and there is no fee to participate. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

To help ensure the long-term success of this cherished tradition, the Long Beach City Council approved $50,000 in ongoing funding for the parade as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget. This year’s event will also receive $50,000 in support from the Port of Long Beach.

The parade will coincide with the Long Beach Pride Festival, taking place Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 along the Downtown waterfront. Organized separately by the Long Beach Pride organization, the festival will celebrate this year’s theme: “Fearless and Free.”
