Pet of the Week: Big Deal Is One Sweet Cowboy

Published on Fri, Nov 6, 2026
Among the lovable pets available now at Long Beach Animal Care Services, one handsome cowboy is hoping to ride off into the sunset with a family of his own.
Meet Big Deal, who lives up to his namesake. This 3-year-old Pit Bull weighs a hefty 71 pounds, but his personality and heart are much bigger. He’s a whole lot of sweetness.
Big Deal loves attention from people, especially cuddles. This guy is also treat-motivated, and he takes his cookies politely, just like a true gentleman.
Eager to learn, Big Deal could use a little help polishing his leash manners. He tends to pull when he’s excited, but he’s easy to correct and responds well to guidance.
This big-hearted boy has plenty of love to give and is ready to find someone who will make him part of the family. Could you be the one to give this cowboy his happily ever after?
