This Weekend in Long Beach: Spring Brings Easter Eggs, Running in Seal Beach and More
Welcome to Inside LB’s new weekend guide to what’s happening around town. Just in time to make the most of the warm spring weather, we’re rounding up opportunities for the whole family to have fun close to home.
Highlights from this weekend’s lineup include Spring Fest at Lincoln Park featuring Easter egg hunts, some charity walking and running events, a Party on Pine Avenue, chances to give back by planting trees or picking up trash, and much more.

Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic for Pets
Date: Friday, March 27
Time: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Long Beach Animal Care Services (7700 E. Spring St.)
What to Expect: Long Beach Animal Care Services and Community Animal Medicine Project are teaming up to bring you a low-cost vaccine clinic because every pet deserves to be happy and healthy. The clinic is open to the first 60 pets.

Long Beach Night Market: Bunny Bash
Date: Friday, March 27
Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
Location: Partake Collective (456 Elm Ave.)
What to Expect: Hop on over to the Partake Collective for night market shopping and visits with the Easter Bunny as well as giveaways and a photobooth.
Cost: Free.
Long Beach Playhouse New Works Festival
Date: Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Long Beach Playhouse (5201 E. Anaheim St.)
What to Expect: This annual festival champions both emerging and established playwrights, helping them develop new scripts and bring fresh stories to the stage. Each year, the New Works Literary Committee reviews more than 100 submissions and selects two outstanding plays for a staged reading. These readings include thoughtful feedback from professional theatre critics as well as an audience talkback.
