71st Annual Daisy Lane Parade Brings Cheer December 13
The twinkle lights are being untangled and the marching bands are tuning up for the return of a beloved holiday tradition: Long Beach’s 71st Daisy Lane Parade.
In the Wrigley Neighborhood, the parade kicks off at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, starting on Daisy Avenue at West Burnett Street, winding down the east side of Daisy to Pacific Coast Highway, then looping around the decorated median and wrapping up near West Hill Street and Maine Avenue around 7 p.m.
A Long Beach tradition since 1953, the Daisy Lane Parade began as a small neighborhood effort to decorate the grassy median along Daisy Avenue. Thanks to the creativity and dedication of community members over the decades, it’s grown into one of the City’s most treasured celebrations.
Locals line the parade route every year with blankets, hot cocoa and plenty of festive spirit, but the fun doesn’t stop there—on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m., Daisy Lane will come alive again for another night of holiday entertainment in the street median, featuring brilliant decor and lights as well as celebratory performances.
If you’re part of a local business, nonprofit or community group looking to join the lineup, now’s your chance to be part of the holiday magic. Applications to participate in the parade are open through Monday, Dec. 1.
