Long Beach Ready to Do the Monster Mash at Silverado Park
It’ll be a graveyard smash in West Long Beach this Halloween.
The City’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine, along with the Office of Climate Action & Sustainability, will host the Neighborhood Halloween Carnival Monster Mash Bash on Friday, Oct. 31, at Silverado Park (1545 W. 31st St.).
Back for its second year, the free, family-friendly event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and invites neighbors to come out in costume and celebrate Halloween in a safe, festive setting. Kids—and kids at heart—can enjoy trick-or-treating, classic carnival games, mask and slime crafts, cookie decorating, a costume contest and more.
Part of the City’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program, the event is all about building community spirit, while having a frightfully good time. Last year’s event drew more than 1,500 attendees, and this year’s Monster Mash Bash is expected to be even bigger.
So grab your little monsters and head to Silverado Park this Halloween.
