Long Beach’s small business community will gather May 14 for the Biggest Small Business Expo, a City-backed event focused on connections, resources and growth.

The free event runs from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Sports Basement (2100 N. Bellflower Blvd.), and is being held as part of National Small Business Week and Economic Development Week, both celebrated in May.

Hosted by the City of Long Beach’s Department of Economic Development and Opportunity, the expo is presented in partnership with the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature resource booths, business support programs and one-on-one opportunities to meet with professionals from across Long Beach. Organizers say it’s designed to help local businesses make connections, find new leads and learn about services available to help them succeed.

Attendees must register online in advance. Registration is free through Friday, May 8, with the promo code SUPPORTSB26. After that date, the cost to attend will be $30. Refreshments and a catered meal will be provided.

The Biggest Small Business Expo is sponsored by the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn, the Port of Long Beach and Kiiwi.

For more information about the expo, business owners can contact Judy Nelson with the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce at jnelson@lbchamber.com.
